My story
About me

My journey to here…

My journey to here began when I was about 15. What started out as stomach complications, led to a major surgery. What followed was years of my life constantly disrupted by pain, misery, numerous stays in hospital, back and forth between gastroenterology consultants, urologists and gynaecologists.

I was sick at critical times, I missed so much school I was unable to sit the Leaving Cert, and had to postpone it by a year. I had more diagnoses, surgeries, treatments and many medications to help keep the progression of my conditions at bay. In college, I couldn’t make the minimum hours for some subjects and was forced to repeat. Work was a similar struggle.

It seemed like I was just about able to manage, but where I was lost was in the gaps between conventional medical treatments, recovery, and the day-to-day management of living with these conditions. I turned to Reflexology, in need of support.

I understand…

No one can really understand someone else’s story without walking in their shoes, but there are so many women walking in the same shoes. People live with debilitating and painful conditions every day. No one should have to live with pain, but too many sufferers of endometriosis, urology and bowel conditions, endure pain as part of daily life.

I understand that struggle.

Why Reflexology…

I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2007 (CIBTAC Diploma) including other holistic therapies. I am also qualified in another interest as an Interior Designer. Challenged by my on-going health problems, I chose a career in Reflexology. With this therapy, I found a balance and regained control of my life.

Knowing each of us has our own personal struggle, no matter how big or small, is why I’m doing what I do. My job now is helping others to improve the quality of their lives too.
